Another pretty average detective novel, fine if you like that sort of thing - but this is a routine police drama, ideal for turning into a TV series. I find it difficult to gain empathy with most of
John Havey's characters, but he is competent at police procedures and there is always a nice twist in the tale. Rating: 6/10
I retired on medical grounds from a very satisfying job over a year ago - but I seem to be busier than ever. I try to watch a film a week, I joined U3A, do so much reading (I belong to three reading groups) go to the theatre regularly and love living in East London. I know everyone thinks it is violent and dangerous but I love the diversity and the variety. My one regret - I live on the third floor, and I can't keep a cat. Love the radio. Do leave me a message!
